LSR will be appearing at The Summer Westival (Hampshire, UK), probably the best indoor festival in the world, complete with real grass (they turf out the entire venue!) – totally weatherproof yet still creating that timeless festival vibe. Two days featuring a great line-up including one of LSR’s fav bands Welcome The Howling Tones!!! (YES!!!)
26th July 2013, West End Centre, Aldershot
LSR will be appearing alongside Alasdair Roberts (Drag City), Kid Canaveral (Fence Records) and a host of other acts at this event curated by the doubledotdash!? collective and South Street Arts Centre in Reading. Two intimate indoor stages running simultaneously all day, plus food from Tutu’s Ethiopian table (recommended by team LSR!).
6th July 2013, 3-11pm
South Street Arts Centre, Reading
Love.Stop.Repeat will come out of hiding to join The Pictish Trail and eagleowl on stage for the Reading leg of their current UK tour, next Friday. We’re looking forward to getting to play with a couple of acts we’re long time fans of, along with getting a chance to road-test new songs – including some of those we tried out last summer.
During our recent recording sessions we took some time to write and record a Christmas number to feature on the Fence Beef Musical Advent Calendar. We’ve put it up here to download for free, after all, it’s the season right? Enjoy!
LSR are deep into recording a collections of songs for a new album at the moment, including those new ones road tested this summer. We’re very pleased this time around. Whilst the effects of a turbulent year for us both have shaped the direction LSR has taken in moving on from our previous releases, it feels a natural and satisfying progression. We’re excited about sharing it with you. Tracks soon.
Love.Stop.Repeat return to play their first show in two years this month, appearing in Bexhill on Sea at Eras of Style, set in the now disused Bexhill West railway station.
The show, one of a series of events organised by Music’s Not Dead, is July 19th and support comes from Dollboy. Doors open 7:30pm.
Every week Lindsay West and Vladimir Lad (AKA Dave Millar) pick a random theme and each have to write and record a song on that theme in no more than 7 days. Their efforts, along with a new Song Assignment for the following week, are uploaded every Wednesday. A new assignment is launched today, and 2 previous songs can also already be found in the assignment archive. Check it out!
The out-of-print ‘Love.Stop.Repeat’ mini-album is now on sale for the first time as a digital download, and the ‘Remembering’ album is available digitally and on CD. For the first time this is also available as a 2xCD set, including the 10-track Fence Collective Remixes CD, featuring King Creosote, Adem and lots more. This is a limited set, so get one while you can.
